Abby's First Christmas Eve/Christmas

We had very busy holidays!

For Christmas Eve we got Abby all dressed up in her pretty party dress, and headed to Dave and Denise's and then Dan and Tracy's.

At Dave and Denise's I had my first beer in about 10 months. Yes, Matt took a picture. For those interested, it was a Sam Adams Winter Lager. It tasted good, but made my head hurt! I hope that's not permanent!

Abby spent lots of time snuggling with Grandma Val and Papa (as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins). Uncle Andy also got to hold her for the first time!

Later, at Dan and Tracy's we saw Kathy (Tracy's mom) and Estella (Tracy's grandma). Tracy's family had been looking forward to Abby's arrival as much as the rest of us had, so it was nice to see them so soon after she was born!

Christmas morning, we woke up and had our little family Christmas, and then my mom and dad and Dan and Tracy came by for breakfast. Starting off the day at home and not having to rush out was great. Abby got me a new wall-mount wine rack, with 11 (yes, eleven) bottles of wine to put in it (Don't worry, Matt got me a vacuum preserver so I don't have to drink it all at once...good thing, considering how that beer worked out)! How did she know exactly what I wanted?! All Matt got from Abby was a board book!

Since we slept so well Christmas Eve, we decided to venture out to Plympton to see that whole crew before heading to Denise and Dave's for Christmas dinner. It certainly was an exhausting two days, but it was worth it. If we hadn't gone visiting, we would have just been bored at home!

Here's a picture of Abby in her Christmas dress....yes, she's screaming, but we realized just as I was going to put her pajamas on (the first of two sets of Christmas pajamas), that we didn't have a nice picture of just her in her dress...so this is what we got! Who knew it would be so hard to get a good picture of a week old baby! She certainly wasn't posing for anyone.

That dress is freaking adorable...but the screaming is what I find the most endearing.
